I'm not surprised at all. Suda stated he didn't ever intend to make a NMH sequel but was pushed to do so to try somethings differently that fans said they disliked (and I bet a whole lot that even though he didn't state so he was pushed into it by ubisoft since the first sold very well.) I would be surprised if he made a Killer7 sequel rather than a new ip in the same vein, but it seems more likely, killer7 had more sequel potential then NMH in the first place.
