Silent Hill 1: Worth to play?

Resident Evil 1 (play the GC version), 2, 3, Code Veronica X (CVX for story only, gameplay dull) and RE0 are all great horror games, play them in that order. Skip the rest of the series as they are either not horror or just plain shit (though if you have a G-Con for PS1 RE: Survivor is actually fun...though the US version has no G-Con support, Euro+Jap only).


The Fatal Frame (Project Zero in Europe) games are ok, not on the presentation level of SH or RE though.

Skip 4 and perhaps Origins ("classic" gameplay, only so-so story), but for gods sake play Shattered Memories. Short of 2 it is the best in the series. That said, SH1 is awesome, sure the graphics are weak, but it still scares the shit out of me to this day. Brilliant!
