Word is Rico gets captured within the first hour or so of the game. The Helghast torture him for hours, inform him that he is actually a descendant of one of the more powerful Helghast families from back when they controlled Vekta (you should see the look on his face!), then shoot him in the back of the head.
Or at least that's how I think it should happen. :P
