@ makingmusic. All good points. The problem is how big Gamestop has gotten.

There are two sides to the argument though. Sometimes I'll buy a game used that I wouldn't have bought at full price. Example: Mercury Meltdown I couldn't pass up for $5. It's not that I wait for a game to come down to buy it, but sometimes I'll see the game after it has dropped in price and pick it up.

Basically what I'm saying is that I personally wouldn't have bought a game at all that I would buy used, but in the end, I do agree 100% with you that the entire "I'll buy the game when it drops in price" attitude does stink.

Well, even if you wait for a price drop, so long as the game is bought new (whether it be Greatest Hits or whatever) the publisher still gets a cut.

And I agree with you about buying some games used that you otherwise wouldn't have bought at all.  I got a copy of Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup for a few bucks awhile back just for the hell of it.  I basically threw money away with that one, though.  =x

And yes, the problem is GameStop.  But between publishers fighting used sales and digital distribution getting bigger and bigger, GameStop will soon be going the way of Blockbuster after Netflix appeared.

How is Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup?

Is it at least entertaining?  LOL

I enjoyed the Harry Potter theme during the credits.  That's about it.  =/

It really is a crappy game.   The gameplay is completely broken.  They don't let you move along the Y-axis in a game centered around flying!  I'm not even going to talk about the crappy modes, horrible graphics, etc.

It sucks though.  Quidditch is actually a pretty cool sport, and I could see somebody making a really good game out of it.  It'll never happen though.
