This is going to become the thing of the future until all we have available is digital download. I like the idea of devs getting PAID for their work and not some 2 bit retailer reselling used games for $5 off the new price.
If anything this makes renting games more important. You can rent to test a game out and if you like enough and want to play online buy it new and support the developers.
I see nothing wrong with this.
