It's true. The reason I've been buying so many games in the last couple of years is that my local Movie Gallery (the same company) has been dying a slow death and I've been getting tons of games (including Ace Combat, Zack and Wiki, Golden Axe, and Brutal Legend) for $5-$10. The whole company has been slowly liquidating. I asked the guy behind the counter this question, months ago and he confirmed it.
Look forward to some INSANE price cuts. Our local store closed yesterday with all merchandise selling for between $0.75 and $8.
