The wifi and hard drives are steep, but the rechargeable batteries are dirt-cheap. Here are a few US prices from Circuit City:
Rechargeable Battery Pack (MS): $11.99
Play and Recharge Kit - Battery and Cable (MS): $19.99
Recharger Kit - Battery and Charger Stand (MS): $29.99
WiFi Adapter (MS): $99.99
I prefer the Recharger Kit... it holds up to 2 batteries, and I just keep 1 charging while I play using the other. Unlike the Sony wireless controllers, MS actually did something a lot better... you can just pop the batteries out and pop in a fresh pack... with the Sony controllers they have no removeable battery pack (I have no idea what they were thinking). You should get about 25-30 hours of constant use from a single charge.
I would also recommend a cooling fan, as well (my 360 Pro is about 18 months old with no failures, probably due to the fact that I keep it well ventilated). I would go for one of the units that attach to the bottom, not a Nyko that attaches to the back... they're just too loud. Most of the fans that attach to the bottom cost approximately $15.
Have fun with your 360... I've had a blast with mine.
