Sounds like a way to integrate and manage video services, rather than actually bringing new video content to the users. Might be useful in the US where Hulu and Netflix are available, or in the UK where BBC content is available however you want to get it, but up here in the Great White North, video streaming is a lot more limited.
Too bad, because I would really enjoy an effective and reasonably-priced video streaming service, even if it does allow Google to cache even more data about me and what products I might like.
