My personal policy towards rumors is to never beleive the first one, but when you see these pop up from more and more net news sites, and that you see that there is some indication from game industry types of people that a price cut will happen, I tend to think that one will come sooner or later. Now I have a finance background, and if investors only relied on what was proven or what is definite before buying a stock, then there would be a lot of money left on the table. The bottom line is that expectations do matter, it's just debatable how reliable individual expectations are. |
I've only seen one article anywhere claiming there may be a price cut and it was a ridiculously speculative article with no insider information or anything at all. They were claiming as much as a $100 cut to the PS3 this fall which would be impossible (unless Sony wishes to post another huge loss, this time 2 billion USD).
