Its the same account.  Gamerscore is still tied.

Then how come i have Slimebeast as nick on GWL but it was already taken by someone else when I created my Xbox account?

That I have no clue.  All I know is that my XBox Live account is automatically a Games for Windows Live account.  Maybe it doesn't work in reverse.
