Everything Google touches turns to gold so this is probably a good move for Sony.

Speaking of that here's an interesting article:

http://www.pcworld.com/article/146101/top_10_google_flubs_flops_and_failures.html

This one will probably make it to the top of that list since they couldn't even get Google Player off the ground and this will be orders of magnitude harder to pull off.

That has been Google's strategy though, throw ideas at the wall and see what sticks. They have the money to do it that way, I mean last year they made a yearly profit of around $US10 billion, and they have a pretty big kitty saved up for a rainy day. Not to mention many of these products are the pet projects of individual employees at Google which get Google's blessing to turn into an actual product.

I don't know if this will work either, but having TV's with built in Android or ChromeOS would be great.

for over the past 6 month's Google has been buying an indie company or even more of those little companies a month...

call it an obsession, or a internet communication's kick, the fact that Google is doing this is quite an eye opener.
