Dont see the point rerally....

Using the UK market as an example. Clearly it can only show free-to-air content which I can already get by any number of methods. All of the subscription services - Sky particularly arent going to be on there. Internet enabled TV's are now becoming much more common too.

Maybe it is different in the US?

Oh... and cant I do this already by just hooking up any laptop or pc to my Tv, or by streaming or whatever...  isnt this old hat?

What I am saying is Google doesnt need to get involved... just make a TV internet capable.  Simple.  Google jsut want some more advertising space.

yeah we can get internet on the TV by hooking up a laptop or many other ways but what they are trying to do here is different

you know how more and more apps are becoming accesisble through the web browser and use of Windows is declining.obviosly this is distant and hardcore and offices will still use windows and stuff

but the home entertainment space is changing and thats what this is for.once more and more things are usable through a browser and cloud computing comes in,you do do all on your TV on a big screen.

remember what many people say why MS entered the console market to stop consoles from being the entertainment hub and just being the gaming hub.this is what they were talking about.

not saying that this is creating anything atm and MS will just drop down but what google are aiming for plus their chrome browser coming in to compete with
