The prime reason PS3 owners buy a PS3 in general is to play games. You can see this easily as the PS3's attach rate was much higher last year than on the XBox 360 and this was also the case during the XBox 360's strongest year of software sales.

The survey shows Blu-Ray awareness is great amongst future PS3 buyers, but the conclusion is very flawed indeed.

The survey (multiple options):

If I hadn't a PS3 I would opt for:

I want Blu-Ray capabilities (great for games as well as movie playback)
and
I like the PS3's software library

I wouldn't opt a specific game, as Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc, etc are all great exclusives.

Someone else may opt Blu-Ray and specific game (like Gran Turismo 5). Why the hell could one come to the conclusion exclusive games don't matter based on these results?

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
