With uniformity dies uniqueness. If everything is the same, why go over the top to try harder? Would Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony  be what they are if they did not basically HAVE TO BE on the software side?

This cannot be a good thing in the end. We need more than 1 console. Why have multiple consoles if EVERYTHING is the same on them?
