WOW all I can say is that people have a right to speak their mind. Doesn't mean they are insulting someone per say. Anytime that you post something where people can respond, you have to be ready for positive and negative feedback. If you are that easily offended then maybe you shouldn't post at all or make excuses to it.
Flattery will get you nowhere - but don't stop trying.
