I can't chose one so I will pick a selection, they are all up there & have all either in some way blown me away & opened up new genre's:

- PlanetScape Torment - The pinnacle of storytelling in RPG's. The game had a very deep storyline with plot twists you couldn't even imagine & deep characters. The story in this game could easily become a best selling novel, easily. There is not much else to say, if any of you value art in gaming, if any of you value storytelling in gaming play this game.

- Super Mario Brothers - No list is finished without the one that made me start it all, at the time this game was unlike anything I had played. I was very young when we got our NES & unaware that this game would forever change who I am, it would result in me becoming interested in a medium that I see as a hobby now, that game game changed my life because of a simple world that defined the gameplay "jump". I a sure people who began gaming & experienced a game for the first time with Super Mario Bros know what I am saying.

- Halo: Combat Evolved - The FPS that made me a FPS fan & still I haven't played an FPS that I've enjoyed more simply because for its time it was fresh & innovative for me, so much fun. I am sure others who see this as their first FPS had similar feelings, it began the FPS craze for many many of us.

- Warcraft - The game that introduced me to the RTS genre, it was my first RTS, it was the first time I had seen gameplay in this form & it felt so deep, fresh & fun. To date its the game I've spent most hours in & I feel ashamed to say how long I spent on that game. It was the summer holiday & I had nothing else to do.......

- Final Fantasy XIII - They say your first Final Fantasy usually becomes one of your all time fav's, I guess they were right. The game blew me away from its sheer presentation, imaginative locations/art style all the way to the soundtrack & unique mythology they created & to top it off what I see as one of the most fun gameplay experiences an RPG has to offer. The sheer wow moments & freshness I got from this game after just playing WRPG's was unmatched, it opened up a genre to me.
************
I cannot pick one out of those, If I was forced to it might be Warcraft due to sheer fact that I spent _ _ _ _ hours on it without getting bored, now a game is meant for playing first & every single hour I put into that game was fun.
