Companies don't have a retry button, when its your biggest franchise ever your not going to gamble and see how it goes. The JRPGs xbox got were mediocre at best if they want to try with PS3 they should make an exclusive mediocre JRPG and see how that goes!

FFXIII was their biggest franchise as to why that went multiplat,  FF Versus XIII is something else (a spin off as some would like to call it but not me lol).

The only reason Versus XIII is so big (equivalent or even greater than FFXIII) is simply the fact that its Nomura thats running the show with his view, his artwork etc.  You take away Nomura from Versus XIII and do you really think it'd be as big as it is now?  Without Nomura, Versus XIII couldve possibly ended up like any other of Square's RPG or even the FF spin-offs on the Wii.

I say Wada already ran the show with their biggest game (FFXIII) and made it multiplat, so let Nomura do what he wants with Versus XIII as he feels whats best for it.

As well of course companies dont have a retry button, but companies should also know to change direction to see which is more suited and benificial for the company if their current views arent exactly working.

Thaaaaank yoouu. And Se's current strategy isn't working. Releasing exclusive JRPGs on the 360? All of them bombed. Finally release a PS3 game, low and behold, it outsells the 360 version by 4x. Now, let's try something new, because they should change direction again, don't you think? How about you give the PS3 some exclusive treatment, instead of completely cutting it off?

Nobody ever said "the more people who get to play the game, the better" before Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant came out (but that theory doesn't even apply to me because if you look at trends you will see that multiplatform =/= more sales overall. It equals splitting the fanbase). Let's not be hypocrites here. Let the PS3 keep its exclusive, and no one say "the more, the better", just like you do with all 360 exclusives. I think the phrase "you can't have your cake and eat it too" belongs in this situation involving FFvXIII and 360 fans

The RPGs you are talking about are rather niche and did not portray to a wide audience.

Final Fantasy is one of the largest RPG series in the entire world, it naturally follows that its sales would be astronomical.

Also, multiplaform = more sales, because you're not splitting the fanbase. The million sales for the 360 would NOT be transferred onto the PS3 if it were exclusive as you are saying, since it doesn't work that way. Sales were on the 360 because people who had only a 360 bought FF13 on the 360.

EDIT: Let me add one thing, why do you think it's wrong more people get to play a good game?
