@Lestatdark, The problem with games like versus 13 , is they aren't declared multi from the beginning and in the case of squarenix after production has been on going for quite sometime on one console, they then use E3 to declare multi, and what happens when you take this approach especially when you state you are going to maximise the strengths of console 1 people start asking questions, like if FF13 was so advanced on PS3 and squarenix stating that PS3 owners wouldn't be impinged by the move to 360 why are they both coming out at the same time, will one be cut down at the expense of the other etc ,questions that will be asked again all because they hedged there bets by infering versus as being exclusive . (A) to placate sony and off setting a ps3 owners backlash (B) insurance against the 360 version under performing. Multi is the way to go or if you do go exclusive you stay exclusive period

The problem is that we will never know if the 360 was indeed the main cause behind the cuts on FFXIII, mainly because every single FF game prior to FFXIII has had cut content as well, even when they were on a single platform, and in some cases, the same scenario happened as well, with half of the content of FFVI and FFXII being cut from the final version of the games.

I know that some people are let down by the fact that they have been promised that the games exploit the maximum capacities of their consoles, but if a game continues to do it for their console but is also available to another console, then I don't see what's the issue. It's not like those people are prohibited to play the game in their consoles anymore or that their enjoyment is going to be any less if the games goes multiplatform.

As I said, as long as S-E and Nomura do their best to give us the best game possible, us gamers should be grateful for that, instead of just hating the game because of petty frivolities.

@leastatdark , if you look back at my statement ,you will notice i wasn't criticising the 360 version or multiplat titles  but squarenix by going down the same road  with  Versus as FF13 opens themselves up to the same questions as before, questionS that still haven't been answered in the minds of many ,and this is of there own doing they could have stopped hedging there bets and made a definitive statement early one way or the other, by simply saying at the time of F13 going multi versus may be multi depending on FF13 being a success on 360,, As your
statement about cuts to FF13 no where did i mention specific  cuts made to FF13 just that SE's action lead to questions arising and that it could go both ways depending on what console and its strengths you looked at, its not about having a game be exclusive against it being multi after all SE is one of the worlds biggest 3rd partys, its about creating an expectation then changing horses midstream and making the same mistakes twice , even if most of whats been said on the actual impact to the game is wrong and In ff13's case i feel the only real impact was holding back the PS3 version so they could release together not a big thing, but perception is perception even if its misguided and it hurts the brand so in conclusion it more about SE making the same mistakes  with Versus by giving some expectation only to change it.
