I did the same thing (even near the same type of deal you gave the guy lol). I doubt you will regret it, since i did not. I bought a PSP and some games with my WII money and now my only regret is that my PSP screen is cracked (will be fixing it). So yeah, just spend the money well and you won't regret it.
