1. Unlimited spawning enemies: It's rare in a game where ammo is limited that the enemies themselves are...unlimited in many areas. This is an aspect I absolutely love and believe should be implemented in more survival horror games, immersion doesn't occur when I kill 4 monsters and suddenly the scary music is gone and I know it's time to explore. The scariest times are when I have to explore and fight at the same time.

2. Librarian: The librarian monster is without a doubt in my mind THE BEST MONSTER IDEA ever created! Now I played on Hardcore and killing a librarian will cost you 2-3 clips (that's about 1/5th of my ammo supply), only to have a new one pop out 10 seconds later. So how do you stop such a beast? Simple, you must stare at it...the longer you stare at a librarian the higher chance of you scaring it away with your ugly mug.

I liked the game but I disliked those 2 things.

1. I hate unlimited respawn in any game, I find it stupid.

2. I agree that the librarian was a good idea, but most of the time, it doesn't work. You stare it but after a few seconds, he still attacks you. Also, even if you scare him off, he reappears after 2 seconds and you have to do the staring thing again.

I felt like the unlimited respawn in this game made it feel so much more realistic. In real life if you were going through the den of the lions, it would be impossible for you to kill all of the lions without some Mjolnir 4 armor.

Same realism with the librarian, he walks foward trying to hit you as a test, the second the librarian does hits you it's as though oh he figured you're squishy and he has dominance over you. The second you hit him he gets mad and will attack you. To me the librarian acts so much like a real animal monster would, you stare at him because in animal instincts the one who shows his back first is weak (this occurs a lot with dogs actually).

@Zarx I played the game on 360, visuals were extremely unimpressive, sometimes I'd shine a light at a texture and see the softest texture I've seen in a new game. Literally looked like it was melting.

@Lifa I'll be trying out Nier next that game looks great! I agree with you on the meta rating for Metro should be bumped up 6-7 points, it's not fair that without a big name backing them they get docked off points. Bioshock 2 is listed as 88, I'd say if Metro 2033 really deserved 77 than Bioshock 2 should be low 80 at most.
