That doesn't make much sense. You want Sony to profit, yet you also like the competition that Microsoft gives Sony which prevents them from making profits.

Competition to make each game bigger and better is bad?

It is bad when it prevents Sony from making profits which consequently prevents them from terminating Nintendo next generation because they have to play it absolutely safe. Remember that Microsoft isn't just forcing Sony to make better games, they are also forcing them to sacrifice profitability in order to not get left too far behind.

Competition is good for the consumer, not the company itself. But PS3 isn't doing so horrible that they would consider dropping out of the Video Game Industry, the PS3 is profitable now, and is outselling 360 WW every week.
