Anyone else a bit offended at claims Heavy Rain's writing is Oscar Worthy?

as long as nobody with some kind of background claims that, it doesn't even merit discussion imho

 Just looking at the first one so far. And this line "the awkward phrasing caused by the game's sometimes iffy translation" makes me wonder if the writing is actually better in (I'm assuming) French. If so, then the translators weren't doing their job well, since it still makes the writing suffer.
