Another question about the Xbox 360: Wireless Connection

You know, you can use cheapie alkaline batteries and they'll still last a good while.  You don't HAVE to buy a battery pack, especially if it's a controller that won't see use all the time.

 

 This is exactly what I'm trying to stay away from: alkaline batteries. I've had a Wii since last Christmas and before I've decided to buy a 3rd-party battery pack + charger (about 6~7 months ago), I've wasted some serious amount of money simply on alkaline batteries and they didn't last for too long either.

I'm a serious gamer and I play a lot during the week (over 15~20+ hours for sure), and I'm sure the Xbox 360 controller is a much bigger battery "sucker" than the Wiimote (I'm maybe wrong about this though)... So yeah ! I also know that me and my bro will waste a lot of our free time playing Halo 3 on Xbox Live (split-screen), so both controllers will be used pretty much all the time. o_o
