I just found your statement odd, given that any long time FF player knows about that. 

That's why I found your statement odd, since you SHOULD know that it can be increased.

I wasn't implying that you didn't know, rather being blunt or whatever.

Yet in my original statement I never refered to the battle speed as being the motive as to why battles were slow paced, but rather the animations
