I'm not sure what you mean, RE5 improved on RE4 in every way possible. The story was a hundred times better and actually RE related. the game wasn't as repetitive. It added co-op for both campaign and mercs, split-screen and online, a competitive multiplayer mode, online leaderboards for every single game mode. It upped the tension a hundred fold by making the in-game world never stop, not even during inventory. It also fixed all the horrible balance issues RE4 had with RE4 dropping too much ammo, letting you carry too much ammo, letting you carry too many weapons, the weapons being stupidly overpowered, dropping too much health, letting you carry too much health (and ammo/weapons all at once) and the enemies being too weak and not agressive enough in the first place. |
lol...it didnt up the tension for one. Not even the slightest. Having a computer or human buddy there to revive you killed whatever tension RE4 had left.
RE5 looks better and has coop but for every thing they made better, they downgraded 3 other aspects. We have to deal with almost broken single player experience, boss fights which are completely un-interesting and repetitive, one of the most redicluous stories in video games history, no variety in gameplay (remmeber puzzles), controls which no longer work since the game is a pure shooter, its criminally short...etc
It isn't a terrible game...but that is because it completely copied RE4 which was a trailblazing experience that blew everything away in 2005.
