Honestly, sometimes fanboy wars are fun. More than anything else with the end of this last generation, I lamented the complacency with which X-box fanboys and GameCube fanboys approached each other, especially after that Wii60 thing... that was one of the stupidest movements that's happened in video game history. My old video game forum suffered a slow, prolonged, painful death over the course of a couple years... There are many reasons for this, but the community stuck together surprizingly well, considering... What was missing? conflict. It was a Nintendo forum, but it had a section called "Those Other Guys" in refference to PS2 and X-box. Slowly, that section became less active, and eventually it got phased out. Fanboys are what make the industry interesting. I'm proud to be a Nintendo fanboy.
