simply put yes. its for the same reason they released a PS3 when PS2 was still selling more than the wii. at the end of the day even if they lost money on PS3 they still have a point to
prove next gen by beatting the competitoin. and they can't do it with 7th gen hardware(even thouhg PS3 will still be viable and maybe even PS2).
on that note. all three will be out in force next gen. laugnch titles will be at there peak, and the big three will battle hard for those gamers that are in between. they haft to prove everything that happened this gen was a fluk, and that PS4 realy can do everything and atrack all gamers no matter what they buy the other consoles for.
but the hard part will be bringging those casual gamers to the 8th gen! it can be done, but who will do it best?
