I remember a friend of mine got bitten by a girl pretending to be vampire. Although, sadly a guy I know DOES read the series and he got SO offended when I made fun of it. He was in his 20s, he said "you obviously don't read good books like I do", needless to say he will never live down reading those books for preteen girls.
