Ok but its sold so well it could make this genre very popular. In that respect it could be seen as a phenomenon. FF7 was basically a modern version of FF4, 5, 6. But it was still a phenomenon as it made that genre popular. I'm not saying Heavy Rain has the impact that FF7 had, it didn't, but it has been the genre's breakout hit this generation & its sold enough to make other devs think hey this type of game HAS a chance of selling.

inspiration is phenomenonal. sence this game has inspierd developers to follow it's trend it could be veiwed as a phenomenon! heavy rain. inspiring developers one step at a time.
