You can just as easily say that all Video based RPGs aren't RPGs in the classical sense. RPGs on Video based consoles (PC, Consoles or handhelds) have evolved along their own path. Whether they followed the Ultima/Wizirdry/Dragon Quest model or tried to branch off and do their own thing, which both Final Fantasy and many Bioware title have done.
So for Bioware to try and point the finger and say Final Fantasy isn't an RPG, they'd have to call out some of their own games as well. Including KOTOR.
