They haven't profited much (if at all) directly from their Blu Ray fabrication. The PSP has suffered from a lack of first party attention due to desperation to save the PS3 and they have directly lost billions of dollars. Further to that the value of their Playsation business has dropped massively so in equity terms if they sold off their Playstation business now it'd be worth less than half it was compared to the end of last generation. All up its an almost unrivaled failure in the history of gaming.

I noticed how you switched from profits, to lack of support to profit. Being the devil's advocate, I will switch again.

Blu ran has seen incredible support, from new releases, to movies out well before BR. The PSP is pretty much FAT, JUICY profit. The way over priced price tag is proof of this. And even though the PS3 has lost a lot of money, it still (imo, of course) has the best 1st party line up of any of the big three.

OT: No, I really don't think it was a success.

I covered that. In their financial reports they haven't seen much if any profit from Blu Ray fabrication etc and they control something like 90% of it.

I know. Thats what I said in my post. Perhaps I am not articulating it correctly. So here is a table.

There are 2 points that you brushed up: lack of profit, and lack of 1st party support.
