I think thats more to do with the fact that Matsuno wrote FF12 (I think) & he's a fantastic writer. Some of the Shakespearean language really suited FF12.

It's a shame that they didn't use the same type of shakesperean approach that Matsuno had done for Vagrant Story. Especially since Vagrant Story revolved heavily on shakesperean themes xD 

I haven't played vagrant story so I dunno. But they probably didn't do that to make it more accessible to everyone? And the fact that he left the company because of illness/anger (rumors say its a combination of both)

u shud play vagrant story, its an amazng RPG! FF12 shud hve had a similar style
