that being said, I really have to check out Id(judging by the way you praise it). and you know what I'll start tonight.
My choice for most underrated mangaka would be: Komi Naoshi
His one-shots are simply amazing, he tells very simple and yet very deep stories. the humor in his works is actually very funny because unlike most shonen manga he doesn't rely on too much fan-service to be funny. His artwork is very good and beautiful. I suggest checking out his best manga IMO, "Island".
