Not quite. Sure, there are some who feel that it sold out because it switched. My problem with FF7 was that this was when graphics really became king, pushing good gameplay and challenge to the wayside. I'd have the same problems with FF7 on the N64 as I do with it now- the N64 trailer for it made me feel they were going in the wrong direction with it, though not enough of the story was yet known for me to officially not like it. And I did play through all of FF7, hoping it would hide a gem of greatness. For me, it didn't. It was more about showing pretty pictures, and that train's been going full-speed ahead since, leading us to FF13, where you walk a straight path to see another CGI event, then fight a boss. Yay?
