I am sure in the eyes of MS, Sony and Nintendo, all they care about is their bottom line.

However, if developers see that even though the Wii has been, and still is, outselling the X360 in hardware, but still lagging well behind in software....They'll choose what will move their software the most. EA showed this a few months ago, when the X360 was moving 3 or 4x the money for their software.

MrStickBall, developers would actually have to put software on Wii first. You can't have Midway putting crap like Cruis'n out and bemoaning its poor sales.

Poor, poor Cruis'n series--Midwa struck gold with the N64 and arcade games... perhaps they decided to 'preserve the integrity of the original game?'

A lot of 3rd party games that have some decent effort put into them are selling very well, actually.  Look at RE4, MoH:H2, Trauma Centre, RE:UC (selling fairly well), Rayman, Red Steel, etc.  All are selling quite well on Wii.  Why?  Because the developer spent some time working on them.  True, you can point to individual exceptions, such as the amazing Zack and Wiki, but you  can do this for all systems (Viva Pinata, anyone?).  Hell, as some have mentioned, even Carnival Games is selling at an alarming(ly upsetting) rate.

In short, if they actually make a decent game, it will sell.  It will be interesting to see what happens with upcoming heavy-hitters like Monster Hunter, Tales of Symphonia, and Fragile.
