It's ok to be antisocial if you don't have a job that involves much interaction with people (if any), but the problem is that most of the best jobs out there involve a lot of interactivity and/or teamwork.  Having antisocial weeks or months could easily cost you your job; that is, if being antisocial harms either your production or quality of work.  In most cases I'd say being antisocial will, because it's difficult to be connected with what your boss/client/customer wants if you're off in la-la land or have trouble communicating with people.
