PC and Console market are different enough that they might not be in direct competition. Its like there are three different markets within one.
PC/=Consoles/=Handhelds
Games=Consoles/PC/Handhelds

I hope you were just joking, because that's one of the most hilarious things I have heard anyone ever say.

He is right, most people don't consider them to be in the same league, therefore they rarely ever compete with a system out of their group.

I see it as PC/Mac > Console > Handheld. Handhelds compete against eachother, Consoles against eachother, and PC vs Mac
