You know, I personally think there's one main reason: Sparklepires.
But I've got to agree with the reasons saying that the books portray quite an unhealthy relationship, just hope all those fangirls know not to make a mistake like this in real life. Unfortunatly, the way they fantasize about it, seems like they would think otherwise.

@ mrstickball: I don't think the issue is that, it is that it's an unhealthy dependence. She doesn't seem like she could breathe without him (over exaggeration on my part but you see what I mean). I'm not quite sure where you were going with the feminist thing though.
