I know this will start a shitstorm, but it is ridiculous to argue that there is any kind of consensus on whether that is a form of discrimination or homophobia. For millions, perhaps billions of people, it's simply a matter of definition and tradition.
A lot of tenuous links are made between gay marriage and racism, and they are mostly irrelevant.
That said, I agree with those saying gay people are discriminated against far more than black people in America, and most countries. There are for example, substantial impediments to economic and social equality for gay people in most American states, that should be rectified as soon as possible.
