Wipeout HD Fury. Is my favorite racing game ever. I enjoy the light combat/modes/ with fast paced racing. I also enjoy the futuristic/not realistic racer. I loved Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer as well. I loved gran turismo, but it's to much of a time sinkhole for me :P.
So thus my favorite racing franchise is Wipeout
