720 is poor mans HD as my friend puts it.

not really, there is no majorl benefit of 1080p for TVs below 32" so if you want to save yourself some cash when buying TVs below that size get a 720p till prices drop. Or wait till UHD and SUHD TVs come to market.

I picked up a 22" inch 1080p with a free HDMI cable from sam's club more than a year ago and it was a great deal compared to other tv's that were only 720p.

mattering the season you might have bought it when they were clearing inventory for new models. Sam does it it the spring, Walmart summer.

Yep, i bought it in the spring and they replaced it in the store with a 26" for 50$ more than i got mine for. (289.99$)
