Is the Halo series even overrated anymore? (By gamers that is)

I use to hate halo and I still think the game is average to shit (bcuz I dont feel the halo world)
but now I know why halo is so popular bcuz is not realistic and is fun for other players just like I like killzone but had more with unreal tournament and quake arena or duke nukem

and the main reason halo is that popular its bcuz it represent the xbox
just like sonic represented the sega

so people who got an xbox just feel like they gotta try it
