Saying there's nothing quite like it, doesn't mean it's the best, it just means it's unique like some other games in other ways (including bad ones, including in bad ways unique).
With regard to attention to detail, I think that was just intended as a matter of speech. They like Remedy just as much as I do. Attention to details is certainly higher in Uncharted 2 and God of War 3, that's just plain obvious. They just wanted to say something nice.
