with this thread , i thought since PhyreEngine is free, some people might have used it , of course i don't think you can download it off a site or something (can you?)

but in this thread, i'll ask anyone who used a gaming engine to share what engines did you use, you don't have to make a game or something, i never did, but i liked messing around with the engines, here is what i used, i used two so far.

Blender

Blender is a very basic engine , you can make great models with it and also while its free, some of the models you make turn out pretty good (the one on this video is an old build , this engine is upgraded now)


DK (Unreal Engine 3)

you probably know this engine, its pretty popular , and that is for a reason , this engine is probably the easiest to use, and is free, almost all indie developers use it, and while it may look a bit outdated (and very ugly), it gets the job done, and has cool effects!

 

Note that all these Engines are FREE , thought the unreal engine, i don't think you can make a game out of it without Epic's approval, i could be wrong though.

so what engine did you use at one point?
