Game doesn't have to be exclusive. In fact, the PhyreEngine is easily ported to other multicore devices (ala modern PCs). It's rarely been used for multiplatform games, however. I only know of one case, and I can't recall the name of the game. Sony ceratinly won't help you port it, however, so it's up to you if you want it done. Most developers will simply opt for a fully multiplatform middleware solution that provides equal support for all platforms, ala UE3.0. |
Ahh. So while you're able to Port the game made by the PhyreEngine, it would be more of a hassle then to just go ahead and use a multiplat engine? Im guessing if this is true theres a really high chance that it would be an exclusive title?

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
