So Direct X vs Open GL is a non issue, despite the fact that one API is limited to hardware and the other is limited to code? Sorry but it is NOT just a hardware difference.
And why the heck do people feel the need to bring up Crysis? It was a crap game that had very little going on. Alan Wake does better weather effects. But that is not the point. Why compare a game that looks great on limited hardware to a game that looks great only if you have the right hardware. One persons experience will differ to the next persons just based on that fact.
On topic and without the need for vulgarities, I think Alan Wake looks really good. I'd love to give it a go.
