Such cynicism. I was expecting balance from Edge and it looks like they delivered. Given their score for LBP and the fact that all previews to date said the create/share aspect of MNR was pretty tight I thought Edge would have a favourable opinion of this game.

What I do know is that Edge pulls no punches on flaws, except perhaps with their "teachers pet" games (no one's perfect and everyone tends to overlook the flaws of their favourites). So, interesting that the review doesn't mention load times at all. The major flaw they do point out is the handling heavier than they expected (compared to MK Wii). Lucky for me I've never played MK Wii so the MNR handling will basically feel normal to me. With any racer handling it's all about getting used to it. I'd be very surprised if the handling could be objectively described as bad or too difficult to control. We'll see I suppose but you can bet it'll become a wedge issue for those who want to keep MNR down. Just like floaty jumping in LBP makes it the worse 2D side scrolling platformer EVER, for some people (for me floaty jumping is all part of LBP's charm, sackboy wouldn't be as cute without it).
