lol harsh, but i must say wii being 480p is what stopped me from buying one. I like nintendo but i didnt want a gamecube with motion controls. So sony releasing a HD wii added with there list of games makes me want to jump all over it. I truly believe some of nintendo's market on the causal gamer will be lifted.

 

You are making the same mistake as the IGN writers - you think that your opinion is important and that everyone believes as you do (obviously it's important to you that games are in high definition, but to the majority of people it is not.) A lot of core gamers find the graphics of SMG or Metroid Prime 3 to be sufficient, and certainly the majority of casual gamers prioritise gameplay over graphics. The only way Sony can steal some of Nintendo's userbase is by offering better gameplay than Wii games. They will not achieve anything simply by having a Wii HD.

lol notice in my post i used the words "I" and "Me". I don’t care what the majority of people like, in my post I spoke for myself with my thoughts alone. It would seem you are under estimating the impact of having games in HD mixed with AAA games. I'm pretty sure most people would take great game play along with graphics if given the option, causal gamers included.
