That's a question of curiosity too, not an attack or flame.

Halo was a HUGE ripoff of Ender's Game (the best book ever written IMO).

 

That doesn't really make it generic, but it does make it a copycat.

I'm sorry, but that seems like a bit of a stretch to me.
