Yes this was my first Final Fantasy and one of the best games I've ever played, I can say the same for a few more people I kmow (xbox gamers who got it because of the marketing). Yes you may message me on my wall

It was also my first FF! Glad it was otherwise I would be making threads about how square raped the franchise, instead I am loving the game(H)
Also if it was Sony exclusive, it had to have the legs its having now if you count in both versions+1

I highly doubt it would have the legs it has now. There is no doubt the PS3 version is outperforming the Xbox version, but in pure numbers I doubt the PS3 version could sell as much as the versions have sold combined.
Almost everyone who is playing this as their first FF has loved it from what I have seen online & in the real world, I think the company has done a good job at trying to increase the fanbase while not completely alienating old fans since many fans have also liked it, whle of course many have disliked it too. This is a good way to keep a 23 year old franchise from getting old in my opinion. Clearly the plan for square worked in the west since FF13 is selling above previous versions, but the plan was less successful in Japan, clearly if it was multiplat there the game would be higher too.
